Holmes Safari 9 - Promotional Artwork

Every year, I try to make a cool promotional poster for my party, Holmes Safari. For year #9, I picked a parody of Magic Hat's #9 beer. The bottle itself doesn't actually have that label on it - its all photoshopped. I really love how I managed to draw out the "Holmes Safari" in the same style of swirly lettering that is ACTUALLY on the bottle. Plus, with the addition of the text around the edge, and the logo that I used in replacement of the starburst in the center of the 9, it really all just came together great. I also like how I took the source photo. I made a jig of sorts (a cut plastic cup) that I installed on my tripod and duct taped the bottle into... that way I could get the proper depth of field shot that I wanted. And wow, did it work perfectly!
