Cassie - Spirit

During my few "Art Fag" nights with EJ, I became quite accustomed to drawing Cassie... She inspired me in so many ways. Her music floors me. And she is a beautiful person. I drew this from a photo that Jess had taken when they played the Spring Concert @ UMass. I just really loved the negative space created by shadow, and the emotion she was expressing in it. Moving. This was taken during "Every Hour" which still sends me to another place when I hear it. The Kanji (or is it Tenji? I forget) symbol means "Spirit" which is what ths picture invokes a sense of for me.
