Though I have always enjoyed taking
photographs, and have been complimented on many of my photos, I
have never officially considered myself a photographer. I still
think that its mostly luck that I get good shots. That, combined
with the fact that my belief is that its not so much the photographer
as it is the subject matter. I just take pictures of people and
things that were already striking and beautiful by themselves. I
know that good photographers are good because they know how to properly
frame shots and are keen with dynamic lighting and other such techniques,
and while I am familiar with all of that, and can do it too, I often
just find myself snapping off pictures, trying to get that one perfect
one out of the bunch. I suppose that that's all it ever really is,
but what I am saying is that despite what you may think from these,
my most favorite photographs of all time, I wouldn't go so far as
to label me a professional photographer - just a very impassioned
artist with a camera and an eye for all things beautiful.
